Why is Obama making unilateral decisions in the banking crisis?

Liberal AssKicker asked:

When Bush tried to fix the banking problem, he sought (and received) help from dozens of other countries.

Did our allies overseas simply like Bush better?
Or is it because Obama has more of a dictatorial attitude toward policy?

Are you talking about this article:
“The changes could go into effect through regulations, not legislation, depending on the result of discussions on the issue.
The regulations would reportedly cover all financial establishments, not just those receiving federal bailout aid and would likely work to ensure executive pay was in line with the financial interest of the company.”

It sure looks like a dictatorial attitude - forced without legislative approval.
Bush was more popular overseas than the media told us! Rick

Because Obama is a socialist. He is attempting to tax us out of prosperity, which you are out of your mind if you think this can work. What he needs to do is steer away from our economy because he is only worsening it and let a recession resolve the recession. purplehazlenut
