My wife lost her job and I had cutbacks at mine. I’ve done everything I can and everything the bank has asked but to no help. We have 2 vehicles that are both financed and no real assets to speak of. Does anyone know what the bank will do when I start missing my mortgage payment? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are there any federal banking laws to help me get my money back?

I deposited a check into my checking account. The check bounced almost 90 days later due to closed account. I called my bank and was told by a higher up that the Federal Bank had lost the check during processing (their fault). So my bank just took back the deposited money from my bank account after 3 months since depositing it due to their lack to organization. My bank won’t help because they think whatever the Fed Bank wants, it gets, cause its “God”. So I don’t expect any support from them regarding the recovery of my money. Are there any federal banking laws that might help me recover the money they took back?

How do I report a mutual fund that was rolled over to buy more mutual funds?

mutual funds
Leela asked:

I started out with two mutual funds. When I transferred them to a new investment company those two funds were used to buy three new mutual funds. This year I sold all three funds. I’m using turbo tax and I understand how to report the three I sold but I really lost on how to report the first two I had and never actually got any cash for.

There were no gains or losses on them so I’m not sure how to enter the information. Help!
