le_disko asked: I’ve had quite a bad history of bouncing checks in the past. I have not had a checking account or any kind of bank account for a few months now (since september of last year). I know it was a really stupid thing, I’ve turned over a new leaf and I’m “starting over” so to speak.
Are there any banks in Michigan that will give you a “second chance” with a checking account?
No sarcastic or ignorant answers or I will report you.
Thanks guys!

Banks.?s.to.the.world asked: Of course the obvisious answer would be MONEY. Everyone would love to bank or open an account with a bank that gives free money. But lets put money aside for one second. What other ways can a bank get your attention and get you to be one of their customers? Lets start with products. Free checking, no atm fees, extended hours, better interest rates, no fees for overdraft or even give excellent customer service, etc… How can a bank better serve you? Now what about activities, giveaways, or promotions can a bank do to attract you? For example, kids events, charitity events, pens, sport bottles, food, vacation packages, gift certificates, etc… What kind of trinkets or goodies do you like to recieve from companies? So lets hear it people!! What will get your attention or attract you to start or change banks.

Janie asked: I am trying to choose between these two banks- unless there’s another credit card that would be better than what these banks offer…

=] asked: I have never had a bank account because I never had a job until now. I don’t make much but well, it’s better than nothing. I’m just a student and I’m clueless when it comes to banks. What kind of account should I get and at what bank?

Wage Peace asked: Foreclosures are still on the rise but the banking industry has shown stability (according to the news). Shouldn’t the banks be forced to work with the current home mortgage payees instead of creating another empty home and homeless family?
Foreclosures are 11% in Las Vegas and they are mostly average Americans.
I do not agree that banks were forced into giving out loans to people who could not afford it. BofA is known for their picky mortgage banking.

Matt asked: I know there are countries which have nationalised oil industries (all the “terrorist” countries for example..

) but how about nationalised banking? Seems pretty clear that private individuals can’t be trusted with that much power. What can we do to encourage our governments to adopt nationalised oil and banking industries? Seems we can’t do much. But I feel so strongly that I want nothing more to do with the western world. Seems even China is moving from socialist to capitalist. So where can I go?
I’m from England. England doesn’t have nationalised banking. They have only nationalised a couple of banks as a temporary measure. I want to live somewhere that has fully and permanently nationalised banking. It’s clearly the only way forward.

saintsgumbo asked:
Do you think it to be fair that the Government is basically hand picking who survives in the banking world by giving certain ones the money. With this money (our money), the bank who gets the payout, buys out the ones who lose.
Does that seem alright to everyone?
Does it feel good to know the government is choosing who will be around later?
No one sees banks as people just the people that are losing their jobs as people….. will this idea spill off into other areas?
